Alleged Prank Phone Calls Scare Motel 6 Guests

The following is an excerpt from the Tewksbury Police log:

Saturday

At 10:45 p.m., police arrested Ashley A. Lundin, 18, 49 Baldwin St., and charged her with driving while under the influence of alcohol, negligent driving and improper operation.

At 9 p.m. David Charles Kison, 23, 164 Perkins Ave., Brockton, was arrested on a warrant.

At 9:15 p.m. Joseph L. Brown, 47, 95 Main St., Tewksbury, was arrested on a warrant.

Monday

At 9:01 p.m. a person at told police a younger woman dining with an older man told him she was being held against her will by the man and had been taken from Florida. Police are checking with Florida authorities and have filed a report of the incident.

Tuesday

At 9:55 a.m. John Daly, 53, 27 Shirley Ave., Lowell, was arrested on charges of unarmed robbery, assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and larceny under $250. 

At 10:37 a.m. a Verizon worker called police because he believed he was being followed along Main Street. 

At 3:01 p.m. a resident of Main Street reported their trailer was broken into. Police took a report.

At 4:26 p.m. a person staying at reported to police she received a phone call from someone who said they were at the front desk and wanted to let her know a man was robbing people in the motel. Police spoke with the front desk worker who said multiple people in the hotel had reported receiving the same phone calls to their rooms. Earlier, the front desk worker had received a phone call from someone who identified themselves as being from corporate and in need of the guest list for the hotel, police said. Police believe the calls were prank phone calls. 

At 5:10 p.m. Erica M. Small, 23, 151 Hopkins St., Reading, was arrested on charges of driving after license suspension, plate violation, driving uninsured, driving without an inspection sticker, driving unregistered and on a warrant. 

At 5:35 p.m. a syringe was found near a mailbox on Whipple Road. Police disposed of it.

At 7:30 p.m. a resident of Chester Street reported to police his neighbor had threatened him.

A resident of Grasshopper Lane reported to police at 7:57 p.m. she returned home to find her backdoor open and a water jug that was filled with money, had been emptied.

At 9:29 p.m. a resident of South Street reported car alarms going off and two men dressed in black running away on Jennies Way. 

At 10:16 p.m., a resident of Jills Way reported teens cutting in between houses and in yards. The police spoke to the teens who said they were just trying to get to

At 10:39 p.m., Maria V. Mejia, 42, 95 Main St., Lowell, was arrested on two warrants. The arrest was made on Main Street.

Wednesday

Police responded to calls about suspicious people at 1:45 a.m. on River Road, at 2:25 a.m. on Bailey Road, at 2:37 a.m. on Regina S. Drive and at 2:43 a.m. on Colab Road.
