Andover Man Arrested After Crashing Into the Woods

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police received a 911 call on Tuesday at 12:38 a.m. for a vehicle into the woods with unknown injuries. The driver was transported to Saints Medical Center and eventually arrested.

Brian Banks, 47, of 311 Lowell Street Apt. 3109, Andover, was arrested and charged with marked lanes violation, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and operating under the influence.

Multiple calls for fire coming out of the top of the Jade East building on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 3:30 a.m.

An officer confirmed the fire and contacted the Fire Chief. A second alarm was called in with Billerica covering the Central Station, Wilmington covering South Station and Andover covering North Station.

Officers reported the fire appeared to be out, but additional checks were made throughout the night. A code red was put out but a lieutenant.

Additional Incidents

On Monday, Feb. 18 at 3:40 p.m. a past breaking and entering was reported on Old Boston Road.

On Monday, Feb. 18 at 6:43 p.m. in the Market Basket parking lot, a caller reported a male screaming and yelling. Officers responded to the scene, where the found the male had lost his cell phone. Someone eventually turned it in to the service desk and he was reunited with his device.

On On Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. campus police at State Hospital reported a runaway. Officers were sent to the scene and the party was located.

On Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7:22 p.m. a couple walked into the station reporting that the female party hit a male pedestrian, whom she transported to the Police Department. The party has injuries and was transported to Saints Medical Center.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 1:34 a.m. police made a traffic stop on Pinewold Ave. for suspicious behavior. Rittaney L. McCauley, 20, of 20 Riverdale Ave., Tewksbury, was arrested for possession of Class D drugs.

On Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7:12 a.m. on International Place, a male party stated the roadway was a sheet of ice and motor vehicles were sliding into the intersection.
