William Curtis, 28, of Tewksbury, pleaded not guilty to disturbing the peace and failure to register as a sex offender in Lowell Superior Court on Monday, according to a report from the Lowell Sun.

Bail was revoked for a developmentally-delayed Tewksbury sex offender on a pending assault case after he was arrested for allegedly following a 7-year-old Tewksbury boy around, according to a report from the Lowell Sun.

William Curtis, 28, of 28 Central St., Tewksbury, pleaded not guilty to disturbing the peace and failure to register as a sex offender in Lowell Superior Court on Monday, according to the Sun.

Police responded to reports of a group of small children yelling at a man to leave them alone near Broadway Street and School Street Friday, Sept. 13, and the mother of the children told police that Curtis would not leave her 7-year-old alone, according to the Sun.

Curtis is a Level 1 or Level 2 sex offender, but the state's registry only provides information Level 3 sex offenders, according to the Sun.

A judge revoked Curtis' bail on his pending assault case and ordered him held on $1,000 bail on the most recent case.
