Scanner reports indicate that the fire began just before 3:30 p.m.

Updated Monday at 4:59 p.m.: Wilmington Police said on their Twitter account that no one was injured during Monday afternoon's car fire on I-93.

Original Story:
State Police and firefighters were called to Interstate 93 North in Wilmington on Monday afternoon for a car fire near the Tewksbury line.

Scanner reports indicated that just before 3:30 p.m. the fire was called in to Massachusetts State Police.

The location was on the northbound sound in between Exit 41 in Wilmington and Exit 42 in Tewksbury.

Patch reader Dan Collins provided a photo from the scene, which showed firefighters finishing work on the car. In the picture, it appears most of the damage was done to the front of the car.
