Car Thefts Plague Stadium Plaza, More Burglaries Reported
The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Vehicle thefts plagued Stadium Plaza, 10 Main St., over the last week. It's not immediately known if the thefts are merely coincidence or are connected.
On Tuesday, May 22, at around 3:30 p.m., a car was reported stolen from the parking lot at the plaza and four women had to be given courtesy transport.
On Thursday, May 24, at 10:19 p.m., a 911 caller reported that their car had been stolen from the Stadium Plaza A was sent to the scene and a report was filed.

While that officer was on the scene, he reported finding a possible stolen car that may have been dumped in the lot. An RMV check indicated that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Lowell. The Lowell Police were notified, the vehicle was dusted for prints and then towed.

Jonathan J. Cameron, 20, 56 Pupkis Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on Thursday, May 24. He is charged with three counts of breaking into a vehicle or boat in the nighttime with the intent to commit a felony.
Christopher Fernandes, 36, 420 East Merrimack St., Lowell, was arrested on May 24 on a warrant.
Janice E. Connell, 43, 175 Alabama Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on May 23 and charged with OUI-liquor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police and speeding.
Other Incidents:
On Thursday, May 24, at 5:13 p.m., a resident of Pond Street called police and reported that their home had been broken into and that several items had been taken. Officers responded to the scene and a report was filed.
On Wednesday, May 23, at 4:06 p.m., a resident of Meredith Road called police to report that their home had been broken into. Officers were sent and a report was filed.
On Wednesday, May 23, at 10:59 a.m., a resident of Kendall Road reported that two vehicles on their property had been broken into.
On Wednesday, May 23, at 1:36 p.m., a resident of Washington Street reported that their vehicle had been broken into.
On May 24 at 8:25 p.m., a 911 caller reporter that he had just been assaulted by another man at . The caller reported that the suspect fled South on Route 38 driving a Cadillac.
