Dandi-Lyons Employee In Fair Condition After Being Struck By Car

Victim was crossing Route 38 after getting out of work.

An employee of Dandi-Lyons flower and ice cream shop is listed in fair condition at a Boston hospital after being struck by a car Wednesday evening.

David Harrington, 30, had just left work and was crossing Route 38 when he was hit by a vehicle at around 6:15 p.m., according to an article in the Lowell Sun.

Harrington sustained serious injuries and was transported by Med-flight to Beth Israel Hospital. As of 12 p.m. he was listed in fair condition.

A section of Route 38 in South Tewksbury was shut down for a time after the accident.

According to Deputy Police Chief John Voto, charges have not been filed as yet against the driver of the vehicle that struck Harrington and no citations have been issued. A State Police accident reconstruction team is leading the investigation into the cause of the accident.

There is no crosswalk where the accident took place.

Dandi-Lyons is owned by state , who was recently elected to represent Tewksbury Wards 3 and 3A under the legislative redistricting plan.
