Dracut Man Arrested For Trying To Fill Forged Oxycodone Precription

An alert pharmacist tipped off leading to the arrest of a Dracut man on charges of trying to fill a fraudulent prescription.

Jeffrey Gallardo, 31, of 31 Lantern Lane, Dracut, was charged with uttering a false prescription and obtaining drugs by means of fraud.

According to a police report, Tewksbury officers responded , after dispatch received a call about a man trying to pass a possibly fraudulent prescription for Oxycodone.

The officers arrived at the store, met with pharmacy employees and were able to identify Gallardo, who was still in the store. The officers then confronted Gallardo and, after a brief investigation, determined that the prescription was fraudulent. According to Tewksbury Police, a pharmacy employee had noticed that the prescription looked very similar to one that another person had tried to fill the previous day. The name of the doctor and the hospital listed on the prescription were the same.

According to the police report, Gallardo then made incriminating statements and was placed under arrest.

Additional Arrests

Guy J. Patierno, 62, 32 Terrace Hall Ave., Burlington, was arrested on July 2, for an outstanding warrant, an inspection sticker violation and for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (third or subsequent offense).

Joel Roszak, 40, 89 Hampshire St., Lawrence, was arrested on June 30, on two warrants.

Phillip Crowley, 20, 3 Pinewood Road, Tewksbury, was arrested on June 30, on two warrants.

Jared G. Ravagni, 20, 1 Summer St., Wilmington, was arrested on June 29, and charged with possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute.

Michael O'Malley, 22, 97 Merrimack Meadows Lane, Tewksbury, was arrested on June 29, on three outstanding warrants.

Robert Ryan, 76, 18 Carnation Drive, was arrested on July 3, and charged with violating a harassment prevention order.

Additional Incidents

On July 2, just after 7 a.m., a Chandler Street woman reported that it appeared something had been shot through her mailbox. Officers responded and determined the mailbox had been damaged with a rock or baseball bat.

On Sunday, July 1, rescue crews responded to an accident between a car and a motorcycle near The accident took place just after 5 p.m. One person was taken to Saints Medical Center in Lowell with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Sunday, July 1, at 9:40 a.m., a Sesame Street resident called police and reported that someone had smashed the back window of his car at some point overnight.

On Sunday, July 1, just before 2 p.m., a Chapman Road resident called police and reported that someone had smashed in one of the windows in his wife's car while it was parked in the driveway.

On Saturday, June 30, at 11 a.m., a man came into the Police Headquarters and reported that someone had broken into his storage unit at A preliminary report was filed.
