Dracut Man Arrested for Allegedly Distributing Cocaine
Tewksbury Police announced the arrest on Wednesday afternoon.
For the third time in recent days, the Tewksbury Police Department announced a drug-related arrest was made in town.
Police Chief Timothy Sheehan said in a press release that on Tuesday officers saw a man acting suspiciously in Stadium Plaza on Main Street.
Detectives allegedly saw Christopher Melo, 33, of 320 Merrill Lane, Dracut, conducting a drug deal and as a result they took him into custody.
Melo was charged with distribution of cocaine, subsequent arrest. He was scheduled to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on Wednesday.
The arrest comes after Tewksbury Police arrested three people over the weekend for drug and weapons related offenses.
