UPDATED: Driver In Andover Street Crash Succumbs to Injuries

Victim had been Med-Flighted to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

A 21-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a single-car crash Tuesday night.

Deputy Police Chief John Voto confirmed that the Ronnie Oliveira of Lowell, passed away Wednesday night at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

The accident took place at around 9:15 p.m. at 1411 Andover St. near Sheridan Lane.

The man had to be extricated from the vehicle and was then flown by Med-Flight to Beth Israel Hospital.

A State Police accident reconstruction team is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.
