Elderly Resident Allegedly Assaulted by Son

Tewksbury man arrested in connection with Quincy burglary.

A Billerica man is facing allegations that he assaulted his elderly father.

Police responded to a call from a resident who said he had just been assaulted by his adult son. The alleged victim told officers that the man had just left in a gray Nissan SUV.

Tewksbury officers called Billerica Police and informed them of the situation. Billerica Police located the man at his residence and detained him.

Anthony J. Gird, 49, of 54 Allendale Ave., Billerica is charged with a assault and battery on a person aged 60 and over.

Thursday, just after 6 a.m., rescue crews responded to a single-car accident at 177 Pike St. The caller reported that a car had struck a utility pole. There were no injuries in the accident but the pole was snapped in half. National Grid was notified of the situation.

Tewksbury man faces charges in Quincy

A 45-year-old Tewksbury man was arrested at his home in connection with a burglary in Quincy. Officers from the Quincy PD called their Tewksbury counterparts and asked for assistance in apprehending Mark Gullotti, of 48 Jill's Way.

Tewksbury officers took Gullotti into custody Wednesday, around 10:30 p.m. He has been charged by Quincy Police with unarmed burglary and malicious destruction of property in excess of $250.

14-year-old girl arrested for assault

Police responded to a home on Old Main Street on Wednesday, after a 911 hangup call. After an investigation, officers arrested a 14-year-old female and charged her with domestic assault and battery.

Other arrests:

Jennifer Mendonca, 24, 500 Skyline Drive, Apt. 6, Dracut, was arrested Thursday. She is charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, illegally attaching plates and having a number plate missing.

Christopher M. Wilson, 28, of 107 Wilson Ave. Quincy, was arrested Friday. He is charged with possession of a Class B substance.
