Fight in Motel 6 Parking Lot Leads to Assault and Battery Charge for Haverhill Man

Monday, May 12

  • At 1:28 a.m. a 911 caller at Motel 6 reported that he witnessed a fight between a man and woman in the parking lot. Police arrested John Morales, 27, of 40 Central Street Apt. 5, Haverhill, and charged him with domestic assault and battery.
  • At 1:45 a.m. dispatch received a 911 call for a crash involving one vehicle and a pole on Trull Road. Police arrested Karen M. Fitzpatrick, 42, of 330 Nesmith Apt. 4, Lowell, for operating under the influence of liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
  • At 9:48 a.m. a 911 caller from Workout World reported that he was upset about the current prices. Officers were sent and spoke to all parties involved.
  • At 1:22 p.m. a woman came to the station to report that over the weekend someone went through her vehicle and took items.
  • At 5:28 p.m. a caller from Mobil on the Run reported a syringe was found on the sink of the women’s bathroom.
  • At 7:11 p.m. a caller from State Hospital reported a possibly intoxicated man sitting next to a tree by the library. Police took the Tewksbury man into protective custody.

  • At 5:56 a.m. a 911 caller reported a woman who had fallen on Maple Street. She was unresponsive but breathing.
  • At 5:46 p.m. dispatch received a 911 call reporting a car on fire on Chandler Street. Police and firefighters responded to the scene.
  • At 8:31 p.m. a woman walked into the station to speak to an officer regarding her son, who has been at State Hospital for two years due to mental issues. The son was beaten up last night and transported to a Boston hospital for medical treatment.
  • At 9:26 p.m. a woman called from Carter Street to report that her home is surrounded by coyotes. The woman was told to call the Animal Control Officer the next day. Police told her that officers can possibly shoo the animals away tonight.
