Former Tewksbury Police Officer, Wellesley Resident Arrested For Intoxicated Driving

The following information is provided by the New Hampshire State Police. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

A former member of the Tewksbury Police Department and Wellesley resident is charged with driving while intoxicated after attempting to evade New Hampshire State Police early Tuesday morning, according to a release from the State Police.

Alex W. Paltrineri, 40, of Wellesley, was arrested in Conway, N.H. and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, reckless conduct, disobeying an officer and possession of drugs, according to the release.

Paltrineri is listed as a member of the Tewksbury Police Department on a list of graduating officers from the Lowell Police Academy Class of 2008.

However, Paltrineri is no longer listed on the staff directory for the Tewksbury Police Department

State Police received reports shortly after midnight on July 23 of a male who appeared to be impaired traveling in a Dodge pickup truck southbound on Route 16 in Tamworth, N.H.

When troopers located and attempted to stop the vehicle, Paltrineri allegedly refused to stop and began driving northbound toward Conway, N.H., according to the release.

Officers from the Conway Police Department assisted troopers in using tire deflation devices to pop the tires on the truck, but that didn't stop Paltrineri.

Paltrineri alledgedly continued to drive with deflated tires until he drove off the highway, striking a utility pole in Conway, N.H., according to the release.

Paltrineri was arraigned in the 3rd Circuit Court - District Division - Ossipee on July 23.
