Former Tewksbury Resident Denies Charges He Assaulted Minor

The Lowell Sun reported that Jack Trovato, a Salem, N.H., resident formerly of Tewksbury was held on $1,500 bail.

A former Tewksbury resident accused of assault and battery against a 14-year-old boy pleaded not guilty in court earlier this week saying he never touched the teenager.

The Lowell Sun reported that Jacob Trovato, 36, now of Salem, N.H., admitted that he yanked a cigarette from the 14-year-old's mouth, but denies accusations that he choked the boy.

According to the Lowell Sun report, Trovato was held on $1,500 cash bail on Tuesday following his not guilty plea regarding the alleged assault that prosecutors said took place on March 18 in Tewksbury.
