Four Drunk Driving Arrests And a Drug Bust Within An Hour

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

It was a busy weekend for the Tewksbury Police Department.

Specifically, the shift working Saturday night into Sunday morning (Nov. 3-4) had their hands full, making arrests and processing suspects.

From 1:07 to 2:02 a.m. on Sunday, police made four arrests for alleged drunk driving and a fifth for drug possession. The arrests in that 60-minute span were as follows:

  • Joseph Gallagher, 51, 3 Betty Lee Terrace, Salem, NH, was arrested at 1:07 a.m. on Nov. 4 and charged with OUI-liquor and having an open container of alcohol in the car.
  • Jason Benson, 29, 45 Kennedy Drive, Chelmsford, was arrested at 1:17 a.m., Nov. 4 and was charged with OUI-liquor.
  • Mia Kimball, 25, 21 Bertha Circle, Billerica, was arrested at 1:22 p.m. on Nov. 4 and charged with OUI-liquor.
  • Thomas J. Summering, 19, 14 Appletree Road, Tewksbury and Harrison S. Deakoff, 19, 674 East St., Tewksbury, were both arrested at 1:29 p.m. on Nov. 4 and both were charged with possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute. Three others in the car at the time were taken into Protective Custody.
  • Edward Ramano, 35, 100 Grove Ave., Wilmington, was arrested at 2:02 a.m. on Nov. 4 and charged with OUI-liquor.

Additional Arrests:

Patrick Foley, 27, 11 Old Boston Road, Tewksbury was arrested on Nov. 3 on a warrant.

Cameo T. Isaac, 31, 11 Old Boston Road, #307, Tewksbury, was arrested on Nov. 3 and was charged with assault and battery.

Saad Mirza, 24, 647 Wildes St., Lowell, was arrested on Nov. 3 and charged with operating a motor vehicle after his license had been suspended, possession of a Class B substance and carrying a dangerous weapon.

Additional Incidents:

On Friday, Nov. 2, at 7:24 p.m., a two-vehicle acident was reported at the intersection of Main Street and South Street. One person was taken to Saints Medical Center in Lowell with lacerations.

On Thursday, Nov. 1, Marshall's loss prevention called police to report a shoplifting in progress. The caller said the suspect was a white male, running across the parking lot. Officers responded but the man was gone.

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, a Whittemore Street resident called police at 5:24 p.m. to report that he and his wife had just gotten home and discovered that their home had been broken into. Officers responded to the scene and a report was filed.
