Golf In The Parking Lot, Break-Ins On Astle Street

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two residents of Astle Street reported break-ins on their property on Sunday, Aug. 19.

At 3:09 p.m., a homeowner called police to report hat someone had broken into his shed. He said the break-in occurred at sometime during ghe past week.

The, at 10:19 p.m., a woman called 911 and said that she had her husband had just seen someone trying to break into their garage. She said it appeared to be two males.

responded to the scene, established a perimeter and did a comprehensive search of the area. They were unable to locate the two suspects.

Around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, police received a 911 hang-up call from the On the callback, they talked to the clerk, who reported a group of young people in the parking lot hitting golf balls.

Officers responded to the scene and dispersed the crowd. But during the process, they made an arrest. Maryuri L. Santos, 22, of 500 Broadway, Apt. 3151, Malden, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Arrests:

Melisa M. Ashton-Hall, 40, 34 Country Club Road, Stoneham, was arrested on Aug. 17 on an outstanding warrant.

Michael E. O'Malley, 23, 97 Merrimack Meadows Lane, was arrested on Aug. 17 on two outstanding warrants.

Additional Incidents:

On Monday, Aug. 20, police and rescue personnel responded to multiple 911 calls regarding a two-car crash at the intersection of South and Salem Streets. The crash caused airbags to deploy in both cars and each vehicle had to be towed. One person was injured and was taken to Lahey Clinic in Burlington for treatment of their injuries.
