there are a disturbing number of car accidents that happen at that intersection.(South/Salem) I am wondering when the town will take notice and do something about it? fearful that a fatal accident will happen before action is taken... considering that there is an elementary school there as well as a fire station, it seems that putting a traffic light (not just a blinking light) here should be a priority.

It would be a great idea, since I was in an accident there late last June when I car I hit went through the stop sign.

That intersection is a nightmare! It needs a light. Period.

I agree with SD 100%

I agree that it needs a light, it is a busy intersection. The majority of drivers are increasingly impatient on the road. Stop signs are giving way to Lights and Yield signs are giving way to modified intersections with Stop signs, which then become Lights. Thanks road ragers!!!

that intersection is a bad place, i try to avoid it at all costs!

You can't safely cross the intersection from south st. I have seen cars travelling north on salem st.at least 50mph...approx. estimate

This has been an issue for years. The town won't put a light there because the theory is that a light would cause traffic to back up from South St on to Main, causing even more of a headache on Main.
