Grand Jury Indicts Tewksbury Man For Home Invasion, Beating

Defendant faces multiple felony charges in connection with September attack.

A 33-year-old Tewksbury man has been indicted by a Middlesex County Grand Jury on multiple felony charges connected to an alleged home invasion last month.

Mark Donnay, of 8 Michael St., is charged with aggravated assault and battery, mayhem, breaking and entering a building during the daytime (two counts), and intimidation of a witness.

According to Tewksbury Police, Donnay broke into a Court Street home just before noon on Sept. 6 and administered a severe beating to the man who lived there.

The alleged victim was able to call police and report the attack. But Donnay had reportedly fled the scene before officers arrived. The victim was transported to Saints Medical Center in Lowell for treatment of his injuries.

Several hours later, Donnay showed up at Police Headquarters requesting to speak to an officer. After talking to an officer he was placed under arrest.
