Juveniles Caught Throwing Apples

The following is an excerpt from the Tewksbury Police log:

Wednesday, Aug. 17

  • At 8:21 p.m. police, fire and emergency personnel responded to a two-car accident with air bag deployment. Two people were transported to Lowell General Hospital.
  • At 9:14 p.m. Patricia Ross, 29, 28 Ferren Drive, Billerica, was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

  • At 2:53 a.m. a resident of Shawsheen Street reported seeing three males ages 12 to 13-years-old in his backyard. When he asked them what they were doing, they ran, the man said. 
  • At 4:40 a.m. a truck driver staying at a motel on Main Street reported he saw another truck driver steal his air line from his trailer and flee the scene. State Police caught up with the truck driver in Andover.
  • A resident of North Street reported his car windows were smashed. The resident said his girlfriend witnessed her ex-boyfriend smash the windows. Police took a report. 
  • At 1:34 p.m. a woman walked into the police station to report being followed by a man in a car behind her through Billerica and Wilmington. Police could not locate the other car. 
  • A missing street sign was reported on Whipple Road at 2:34 p.m.
  • A water main break was found at 3:41 p.m. 
  • At 4:45 p.m. police moved along a group of juveniles at on Main Street. Witnesses said 10 to 12 juveniles were throwing apples. 

Friday, Aug. 19

  • At 2:27 a.m. Shane E. Perry, 24, 1531 State Road, Route 492, New Millford, PA, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, plate violation and driving with an open container of alcohol. 
  • At 2:31 p.m. gas cans were reported stolen from Eastgate Road.
