Lawrence Man Arrested at Extended Stay For Kidnapping and Assault to Rape

Tewksbury Police arrested a Lawrence man Sunday morning at Extended Stay America at 1910 Andover St. on charges including kidnapping and assault to rape. 

Tewksbury Police arrested Frank Harrison, 46, of 249 Ferry St., Lawrence on charges of kidnapping, assault to rape armed (knife) and indecent assault and battery on a person over the age of 14. 

Police responded to the Extended Stay America at approximately 5:30 a.m. for a report of a male party covered with blood and lacerations to the head.  

Upon arrival, officers were approached by a female victim who told them that the injured male (Harrison) had allegedly attempted to rape her at knifepoint and would not allow her to leave the room.  

According to Tewksbury Police, the victim stated she was allegedly able to fend off her attacker by striking him with a cooking pot, forcing him to run away.

Harrison was immediately arrested and transported back to the Tewksbury Police Station.  Mr. Harrison was denied bail and will be arraigned on the above charges in Lowell District Court.
