Lawrence Man Arrested for Possession to Distribute

An officer stopped a vehicle for suspicious activity on Monday, July 1, at 10:18 a.m. 

Police arrested Angel Cruz, 41, of 61 Manchester Street Apt. 4, Lawrence, for possession to distribute Class A drugs.

Officers stopped a vehicle on Benson Road for a marked lanes violation on Sunday, June 30, at 8:04 p.m. 

Dennis R. Cannon, 58, of 4 Grace Drive, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, third offense. He was also charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, operation without an interlock device and operating a motor vehicle in violation of a license restriction.

Additional Incidents:

On Saturday, June 29, at 4:05 p.m. a 911 caller from Pinnacle Street reported that a man ran away from the group home. He was located walking down Pinnacle Street.

On Sunday, June 30, at 5:22 p.m. a Charles Drive resident called 911 to report a stolen bicycle. The caller said the bike was stolen about 30 minutes prior by a 17-year-old male.

On Sunday, June 30, at 10:46 a.m. a Wal-Mart employee reported that an associate found five laptops in a carriage located in the parking lot. The computers do not belong to Wal-Mart, so they were returned to the police station.

On Monday, July 1, at 1:32 a.m. a Motel 6 employee reported a woman in the lobby who said she was beat up by her boyfriend. Officers reported that the incident occurred in Lowell and the woman does not want to speak to Lowell Police.
