Friday, March 14

  • At 9:33 p.m. on Green Street the Fire Department was dispatched when a woman said her water heater burst and her basement was flooding. The woman was concerned because the water level was getting close to her furnace.

  • At 1:53 a.m. an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Andover Street. Zachary Thomas Durant, 23, of 738 Central Street, Lowell, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and possessing an open container of alcohol.
  • At 7:32 p.m. a 911 caller on Apache Way reported that she heard a woman screaming for help. Officers responded to the scene but were unable to locate anyone in distress.
