Main Street Resident Arrested for Possession of Loaded Gun After Report of Threat to Kill

Police announced on Thursday night that Henry Mulholland of Tewksbury was arrested Wednesday with a hand gun and several magazines.

Tewksbury Police announced on Thursday night that they arrested a Main Street resident the previous day after receiving a report of a threat to kill and found a loaded firearm in the man's home.

Police said that on Wednesday officers received a report from a resident that he was a subject of a "threat to kill," which was allegedly made by Henry Mulholland, 58, of 1192 Main Street, Tewksbury.

While investigating the incident, police discovered that Mulholland illegally possessed a handgun along with multiple magazines loaded with live ammunition.

A background check of Mulholland confirmed to police that he did not have a license to possess a weapon. After obtaining that information, Tewksbury Police received a search warrant from Lowell District Court for Mulholland's home.

Officers completed the search at Mulholland's Main Street home and recovered a loaded 9MM Smith and Wesson handgun, several magazines, and other ammunition.

After locating the weapon and ammunition, police arrested Mulholland on a laundry list of charges.

Mulholland was charged with possession of a firearm with no license, possession of ammunition with no license, improper storage of a large capacity firearm, threatening to commit a crime, and three counts of possession of a large capacity firearm feeding device.

The Tewksbury resident was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Thursday following his Wednesday arrest.
