Malden Man Allegedly Assaults Officer at Home Depot

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Officers reported they were out in the parking lot at Home Depot with two men who took off when officers approached the men on Saturday, July 6, at 7:48 p.m.

George Capuzello, 42, of 500 Broadway Street Apt. 2135, Malden, was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault on a police officer, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession of Class B drugs and failure to stop for police.

The detail officer at Tewksbury Country Club reported an intoxicated man crashed a wedding and refused to leave on Saturday, July 6, at 11:39 p.m.

 A 46-year-old New York resident was taken into protective custody.

On Sunday, July 7, at 4:13 p.m. a Home Depot caller reported an Asian man on a bike who is stashing stolen merchandise in the woods on Main Street.

On Sunday, July 7, at 4:47 p.m. officers arrived at Mobil on the Run for a report of suspicious activity. Harry Acosta, 38, of 76 Penn Street Apt. 2, Fitchburg, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession to distribute Class D drugs, and one count of conspiracy to violate drug laws. Daniel Echevarria, 42, of 88 Mt. Vernon Street Apt. 3, Fitchburg, was arrested and charged with possession to distribute Class A drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

On Sunday, July 7, at 8:46 p.m. a man came to the station to report a domestic incident. The resident said his brother showed up at the house intoxicated and has a no trespass order.

On Monday, July 8, at 12:28 a.m. a 911 caller reported a 55-year-old woman who fell down a flight of stairs on Apache Way.
