Update: Motorcyclist In South Street Crash Was Driving Stolen Bike, Expected to Survive

Medflight was called in to transport the motorcycle driver, according to scanner reports.


Update 10/3- The driver of a motorcycle who crashed last night on South Street was driving a stolen bike, according to Deputy Police Chief John Voto. 

The man is currently in serious but stable condition in a Boston hospital, but is expected to survive, according to Voto.

An arrest has not been made, but Tewksbury police are investigating the crash and pursuing criminal charges, according to Voto. 

Original Post- Police responded to a crash on South Street involving a motorcycle Wednesday night, according to scanner reports.

South Street was closed in the area of the crash, and MedFlight was called in to transport a 25-year-old male with multiple injuries, according to scanner reports.

The Elks Lodge on South Street was used as a landing zoning for MedFlight.
