Men Allegedly Flee From Scene of OUI Crash

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Several 911 callers reported a crash on East Street with two males who fled on foot on Friday, June 28, at 4:51 p.m. 

An officer located both men on Ellington Road while the vehicle was left at Breakaway Ice Rink. 

Andrew Roux, 39, of 231 Thornton Street, Manchester, N.H., was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of personal injury, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, disturbing the peace, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. A 46-year-old Manchester man was taken into protective custody.

Woman Alleges Domestic Attack

A 911 caller from Caswell Motel reported on Friday, June 28, at 2:46 a.m. that her boyfriend beat her up, stole her money and climbed out the back window.

The woman, who had several cuts, refused medical treatment. Officers requested a K-9 Unit and pinged the man’s cell phone. Police were unable to locate the man, and filed a report on the incident.

Additional Incidents:

On Friday, June 28, at 6:38 p.m. a resident walked into the station to report that her wallet was stolen from Home Depot on Main Street.

On Friday, June 28, at 6:59 p.m. the manager at Market Basket told police a man walked out of the store with a red basket full of baby powder.

On Friday, June 28, at 9:37 p.m. police served multiple warrants at Motel 6. In total five people were arrested for a variety of separate outstanding warrants.
