UPDATE: Police Confirm Wilmington Teen Found Safe

Updated Thursday at 2:35 p.m.: Wilmington Police said on Thursday afternoon that Fielding was found, and safely returned to her family.

Police could not comment, however, on what town Fielding was located in.

Updated Thursday at 12:55 p.m.: Taylor Fielding, missing for nearly a week, has been located.

The Wilmington Police Department shared the news on Twitter, as did Taylor Fielding's sister, Lexi, just before 1 p.m.

Original Story: The Wilmington Police Department is looking for a Wilmington teenager who has not been seen by her family in nearly a week, and officers say she may be in Tewksbury.

Taylor Fielding was reported missing on Saturday by her family, who has not seen her since Friday, Feb. 28.

Wilmington Police Lt. Brian Pupa is leading the investigation and said that while he does not believe Fielding is in danger, police want to locate her safely before she is put in a dangerous situation.

Pupa said officers are focusing their search mainly on an area that spans Wilmington, Tewksbury, Billerica and Lowell.

There have been several sightings of Fielding in the area in recent days, but as of Thursday, those have not led to locating Fielding.

Fielding, who is 15 years old, is about 5'1" tall with brown hair and multiple ear piercings. 

Anyone with information on Fielding's whereabouts is asked to contact the Wilmington Police Department at (978) 658-3331. If Fielding is seen in a town outside Wilmington, residents can contact their local police department.

"We certainly would like extra eyes in the community," said Pupa.
