Morning Starts With OUI Arrest for Charlestown Man

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Police stopped a vehicle at Main Street Liquors for erratic operation on Wednesday, July 17, at 10:06 a.m. 

Following the stop, Brian S. Harrington, 45, of 117 Bartlett Street Apt. 1, Charlestown, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration.

Arrests Made in Shell Station Robbery

Following an investigation, police arrested Frank G. Pendergast, 46, of 4 Elderberry Road Apt. 103, Reading, and charged him with armed robbery and attempt to commit a crime related to the Shell Station robbery days earlier.

Then on Wednesday, July 17, at 6:58 p.m. police arrested Patrick McNally, 51, of 418 Main Street, Wilmington, and charged him with armed robbery, armed assault to rob and conspiracy related to the same incident.

Additional Incidents:

On Wednesday, July 17, at 4:40 p.m. dispatch received a 911 call from North Street reporting that a man in the house was out of control. The man was served an emergency restraining order via telephone. Philip V. Pace, 48, of 770 North Street, Tewksbury, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery and witness intimidation.

On Wednesday, July 17, at 5:44 p.m. police received a call from Market Basket where they said they had a shoplifter in custody. Charles H. Goodwin III, 31, of 1175A Lawrence Street, Lowell, was arrested and charged with larceny greater than $250.
