New England Patriots Are Coming to Tewksbury Hardwood

The Police Association is planning an upcoming charity event.

There are plenty of phone scams that attempt to trick residents into putting their money to the wrong hands.

But if your phone rings in the upcoming days, and the person on the other end asks for your support as the New England Patriots come to play basketball in Tewksbury, fear not. It's the real deal.

The Tewksbury Police Association is hosting a basketball game where police will square off against current members of the Patriots on Monday, May 19, at 7 p.m. inside the Tewksbury Memorial High School gymnasium.

Starting on Monday, April 21, Tewksbury Police representatives will be contacting businesses and residents asking for support, and police want residents to be warned so they know there is nothing suspicious about the phone calls.

Anyone with questions can free to contact Detective Mike Sheehan at (978) 851-7373, Ext. 240.

The basketball game will tip off on May 19 beginning at 7 p.m., so check back for more details as the event approaches.
