Newly Engaged, Woman Loses 1 Ct. Diamond Ring at Stadium Plaza

For one woman, the joy of being newly engaged lasted less than a half-hour.

The woman called Tewksbury Police from Stadium Plaza on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 9:51 p.m. She told dispatch that about 25 minutes after her future husband had proposed to her, she lost the engagement ring.

She described the ring as being white gold and the stone as being a 1 ct. solitaire, emerald cut.

The woman told dispatch that when she told her fiancee, she would try to get the receipt for the ring.

With Friends Like These ...

A Salem Road resident called Tewksbury Police around 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 and reported that her male friend had just assaulted her and fled toward Main Street. Three officers responded to the scene.

The woman said she suspected the man might be headed toward Burlington to pick up his girlfriend from work. Tewksbury Police notified Burlington Police and asked them to check the girlfriend's work and home address. Burlington Police later notified Tewksbury that the man was in custody.

Deven M. Tanguay, 465 North St., Tewksbury, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, threatening to commit a crime, unarmed robbery and larceny over $250.

Additional Arrests:

Jennifer A. McConnell, 32, 5 Jordan Lane, Tewksbury, was arrested on Dec. 14 and charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.

A 14-year-old female juvenile was arrested on Dec. 12 and charged with domestic assault and battery.

Thomas J. Campbell, 42, 49 Keith St., Chelsea, was arrested on Dec. 12 and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Additional Incidents:

On Dec. 12 at 3:20 p.m., a South Street resident called police and reported that their vehicle had been broken into some time overnight.
