North Reading

A North Reading family is breathing a sigh of relief this morning after missing daughter was located safe and sound.

The child, an 8-year-old with Down Syndrome, had been reported missing Saturday morning. requested the help of area law enforcement agencies for help with the search, which began in the area of Spruce Road.

Chelmsford

Stephen J. Lombardo, 39, of 20 Worthen St. was arrested by Nashua Police on Aug. 30 after being charged with sale of the narcotic drug oxycontin, a class B felony.

The investigation was initiated on Aug. 13 from and online web tips received by the Nashua Police Narcotics Intelligence Division. It was reported that an “add” was posted on Craigslist advertising the sale of percocet and oxycontin pills.

Wilmington

Though summer is beginning to give way to fall, the threat of West Nile Virus remains in Wilmington as a pool of mosquitoes tested positive for the second time this year.

According to a press release from the Department of Public Health, the positive test was found in a pool in the Linda Road wetland area. As a result, the Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project conducted spraying on Thursday night in conjunction with the town.
