Pair of Lowell Women Arrested Following Fight at Wal-Mart

Monday, March 17

  • At 11:37 a.m. a 911 caller from Caswell Motel said he has been intoxicated for four days and needs help. The Lowell resident, 54, was taken into protective custody.
  • At 10:15 p.m. a resident on Edith Drive called 911 to report that she has been locked out of the house. Police took a 58-year-old Main Street resident into protective custody.

  • At 2:26 a.m. dispatch received a 911 call from a Juniper Lane resident saying a man had just left the home after causing damage. Wilmington Police did a courtesy booking after stopping the vehicle in their town. Patrick Walsh Downing, 21, of 2233 Avalon Drive, Wilmington, was arrested and charged with malicious or wanton defacement of property and breaking and entering a building nighttimes for felony.
  • At 11:13 a.m. a 911 caller reported two women fighting at Wal-Mart on Main Street. One woman ran from the van and another 911 caller reported that she ran into Urgent Care stating that a family member was after her, and she had a cut on her eye. Aileen Gonzalez, 25, of 431 Rosewood Lane, Lowell, and Luz A. Matos, 39, of 33 Walker Street Apt. C, Lowell, were both arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery.
