Police Arrest Alleged Fugitive From Justice

A crash occurred in front of the Petroil Station on Main Street on Saturday, March 30, at 2:18 a.m.

Following the crash, Joseph J. Griffin, 25, of 105 Wamesit Road, Tewksbury, was arrested and charged with failing to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, marked lanes violation and operating under the influence of liquor.

Police pulled over a vehicle on I-495 on Saturday, March 30, at 6:44 p.m.

After the traffic stop, Francisco Carrion, 43, of 47A Dunstable Road, Chelmsford, was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant, subsequent offense of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, making an improper turn and four outstanding warrants.

Additional Incidents:

On Saturday, March 30, at 11:41 a.m. a resident called from Old Boston Road to report that they heard a baby screaming and when the wife looked over she saw a female holding a small child over the balcony by its ankles. Officers spoke with the parties involved and reported the call was unfounded.

On Saturday, March 30, at 4:54 p.m. a mother called 911 to report that her son has been missing for three days and a group of kids at United Methodist Church know where he is but won’t tell her.

On Sunday, March 31, at 5:36 a.m. police stopped a vehicle on Woburn Street at Armond for speeding. The vehicle initially did not stop and eventually stopped over the line in Lowell. A 24-year-old Wilmington woman was taken into protective custody.

On Sunday, March 31, at 8:31 p.m. a caller on Berkeley Street reported that his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend is threatening him.

On Monday, April 1, at 4:22 p.m. a 911 caller told dispatch that they were starting a fire in their home fireplace on Main Street and the fire was out of control. Fire was filling the house, but the flames were eventually knocked down.
