Police Log: A Missing Person Search, Hit and Run Crash

The following information is an excerpt from the Tewksbury Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday Jan. 5

1:51 a.m. A male came into the police station to report his 14-year-old grandson was missing from their home. He reported he last saw his grandson between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. when he was in bed. The boy did not have a cell phone with him. 

State Police K9 unit responded to the residence and began a search. The boy was located on Secor Way and returned to his Rogers Street residence.

6:03 a.m. An individual called Tewksbury Police to inform them of a male Tewksbury resident who regularly drives from his residence to Billerica to pick up a female acquaintance and take her to a methadone clinic in Lowell. The caller stated after the two leave the clinic they do drug deals in the surrounding area. The caller identified himself as an acquaintance of the female party he referenced.  A log entry was created.

8:06 a.m. A caller at Oakdale Mall, 1900 Main St., reported while he was shopping someone hit his vehicle and left the scene. An employee witnessed the hit and run and was able to provide a license plate number to police. A report was filed.

9:19 a.m. An individual came into the police station to report sometime the day prior a snowmobile had been riding on his property on Debra Drive.
