Police Log: Motel 6 Arrest, Reported Car Break and More

The following information is an excerpt from the Tewksbury Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Jan. 2

12:11 a.m. A female caller on Temple Street reported her son and his girlfriend were arguing and the girlfriend was repeatedly calling the house. The girlfriend was contacted by a dispatcher and told to stop. There were no further issues. 

5:25 a.m. DPW reported a minor accident at 460 East St. and 715 Livingston St. with possible injuries. One individual was transported to Saints Medical Center. One car was towed from the scene.

6:15 a.m. Officers responded to Motel 6, 95 Main St., to serve a warrant to a Melrose resident. 

Augustus Nomore Kirksey, 445 Pleasant St. Melrose, was arrested on warrants for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, receiving a stolen vehicle and larceny over $250.

11:10 a.m. A DPW worker reported his vehicle just drove off the road near 677 North St. There were no injuries. Officers responded to assist. 

11:41 a.m. Police received reports of a car off the road near 1282 Shawsheen St. with property damage. Officers responded and a vehicle was towed from the scene. 

1:03 p.m. An officer responded to reports of breaking and entering into a vehicle at 1406 Shawsheen St.. A report was filed. 

2:59 p.m. A caller reported her vehicle was struck by a plow in the parking lot of Friendly's. 

5:30 p.m. A resident of Miles Road reported DPW ran over his lawn in the last snow storm and did the same during this storm. The caller went to DPW and filed a written complaint. An officer responded and spoke with the homeowner. 

5:51 p.m. A caller on Rogers Street reported her grandson, a minor, was intoxicated and out of control. Officers responded and a report was filed. 

7:02 p.m. An officer was flagged down on McLaren Road for reports of an SUV driving erratically. The officer checked the street, but the vehicle had left the area. 

8:17 p.m. A caller reported a plow hit his three recycle bins and large blue trash bin sometime between 7:10 and 7:45 p.m. The caller reported he will report this to Town Hall the following day to get his blue trash bin replaced. 

8:37 p.m. A manager at the Marriot Residence Inn, 1775 Andover St., reported she attempted to remove a female from a room at the hotel without success. The female in question allegedly owed more than $200 and kept avoiding hotel management. The manager spoke with the female, who cursed at her the whole time. Officers responded and reported the female was leaving as they arrived. 

Wednesday, Jan. 1

12:40 a.m. A detail officer at TJ Callahan's Pub requested assistance with a possible assault involving two males. The parties were spoken to and a report was filed.
