Police Log: A Warrant Arrest at Motel Caswell and More

The following information is an excerpt from the Tewksbury Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Nov. 24

9:36 a.m. A caller on Apache Way reported someone put chocolate syrup and shaving cream on all the cars in the complex sometime overnight. An officer responded and a report was filed.

10:27 a.m. An employee at Staples, 10 Main St., reported a male wearing a grey sweater, approximately 25-30 years old, ran from the store stealing two tablets. An officer responded and filed a report.

11:46 a.m. An individual came into the police station to report another driver hit his car and drove off while in the parking lot at Home Depot, 85 Main St.

12:39 p.m. An individual reported someone hit her vehicle and left while at Wal-Mart at 333 Main St.

4:03 p.m. A caller reported a fallen tree at 175 Pringle St. blocking the roadway. DPW was notified.

4:41 p.m. A caller reported a fire on the railroad tracks near 2 Barker Rd. The Fire Department extinguished the fire. 

6:36 p.m. A caller reported a tree branch and power lines down at at 108 Maple St and 55 Memory Lane. Officers responded and moved everything to the side of the road. Verizon was notified.

7:30 p.m. A caller on Wildwood Rd. reported a rug in the house was on fire. Responding officers reported the fire was extinguished prior to their arrival.

7:57 p.m. Police received multiple calls reporting a phone box belonging to Verizon near Maverick's was loose and shooting sparks into the road. It caused a small fire along the grass at that location. Verizon was notified.

Monday, Nov. 25

6:48 a.m. Officers responded to the Motel Caswell to serve a warrant. Anthony J. Giardina, 484 Gorham St., Lowell., was arrested on a warrant for abuse prevention violation.

7:36 a.m.- Police received a call reporting ice conditions on the road at 890 Chandler St at 1164 Whipple Rd. DPW was notified.
