Police Log: An Arrest For Assault and Battery, a Reported Car Break and More

The following information is an excerpt from the Tewksbury Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Saturday, Dec. 7

7:01 a.m. A caller on Lake Street reported her vehicle was broken into overnight and a GPS was taken. 

10:42 p.m. Lowell Police requested a Tewksbury officer respond to  Rogers Street residence in Lowell for reports of a female who said she was raped at a Main Street motel in Tewksbury.

Officers subsequently responded to Motel Caswell and arrested Steven J. Witham, 200 Market St., Lowell for indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years or older. 

Sunday, Dec. 8

1:10 a.m. A detail officer at Motel 6 reported a male party outside yelling and causing a scene. Officers spoke to the individual.

5:38 p.m. A caller at Keri Plaza, 1699 Shawsheen St., reported an older F150 truck with a silver stripe and an older male driver almost hit a guardrail, drove on the grass and almost hit another vehicle head on.
