Police Log: Reports of Car Break-Ins and Four Arrests

The following information is provided by Tewksbury Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Friday, Sept. 20

2:50 a.m. Police received a call from an alarm company reporting a front counter alarm had gone off at the Hess Station at 1910 Andover St.. Responding officers reported the front door was smashed and it appeared items were taken from behind the counter. The store manager was contacted.

6:41 a.m. A caller at 128 Elm St. reported someone had gotten into his vehicle overnight, took his cigarettes and moved several other things around inside his vehicle. The individual did not know the plate number but stated it was an SUV.

8:27 a.m. A caller at 201 Carter St. reported someone drove over his lawn, damaging a wall.

9:45 a.m. An individual came into the police station to report someone stole a laptop from his car which was parked overnight at 10 Main St. (Stadium Plaza).

6:46 p.m. An officer pulled over a vehicle at 1863 Main St. (Mac's Dairy Farm) for defective equipment. Responding officers reported Howard R. Hall, of 2020 Main St., Tewksbury, was placed under arrest on warrants for assault and battery, breaking and entering a vehicle and larceny over $250.

8:12 p.m. A Germano Drive caller reported his vehicle was egged while parked. The caller identified the vehicle that fled the scene.

Saturday, Sept. 21

1:24 a.m. Police received a call from a female at 1312 Ames Hill Dr. reporting a domestic disturbance happening upstairs between a male and female. Richard Lucas, of 1322 Ames Hill Dr., Tewksbury, was arrested on warrants for default threats and straight threats.

1:46 a.m. Police received a call from a Warren Road resident reporting a suspicious male in his driveway. The caller reported when he confronted the man, he recognized the person as someone from his neighborhood. The caller stated his concern because there had been recent break ins in the area.

5:19 a.m. Police received a call from a resident of Coolidge Street reporting a male who had lit off a fire cracker and threw it on his property. The caller stated he had been having ongoing issues with the individual who threw it. 

6:50 a.m. Officers arrested Rogelio M. Roche-Martinez, 48 Rogers St, Billerica, at Motel Caswell on two outstanding warrants for suspended license. 

11:13 a.m. After a motor vehicle stop at 937 North St. and 20 International Pl., officers requested a K-9 unit to the scene. Wilmington K-9 responded. Miguel Angel Gonzalez, of 102 Oxford Street, Lawrence, was arrested for possession of a class A substance.
