Police Log: Two Arrests For Shoplifting, a Road Rage Incident and More

The following is an excerpt from the Tewksbury Police Department logs. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Saturday, Nov. 9

12:24 a.m. An officer reported a possible intoxicated individual walking from Motel 6 to Applebees. A Worcester resident was placed into protective custody.

10:55 a.m.- Thomas E. Callery was arrested at Home Depot for shoplifting.

1:19 p.m. - Officers arrested Matthew Maggio at 715 Livingston St. on an outstanding warrant.

1:22 p.m. - Officers arrested Melissa Cobin at 715 Livingston St. on an outstanding warrant.

1:26 a.m.- A caller reported a road rage incident that had started on 495. Officers responded and spoke to both involved parties, who were issued a verbal warning. 

3:10 p.m. - Edmund Leonardis Jr. was arrested at Wal-Mart for shoplifting. 

5:06 p.m.- Officers responded to a report at Wal-Mart for two female shoplifters. A report was filed. 

6:25 p.m. A caller at 1699 Shawsheen St. reported an erratic driver pulled into Keri Plaza. Officers spoke with the driver in question who said he was putting an address into his GPS when he pulled into the plaza.

Sunday, Nov. 10

12:07 a.m. A caller at 1145 Livingston St. reported a group of kids knocking on her door and then running away. Officers checked the area but did not observe anyone suspicious. Extra patrols were made in the area throughout the night.

12:52 a.m. A caller ar 231 Beech St. reported an attempted break in to her friend's vehicle. The caller reported she heard the car alarm go off, but did not see anyone attempting to break in. Officers confirmed the vehicle was secured.

10:58 a.m.- Officers arrested Kevin T. Thresher at Home Depot on a warrant for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, two counts of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, three counts of operating an uninsured vehicle and four counts of operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license (subsequent offense).
