Refusing Cab Fare and a Pair of Reported Break-Ins

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 911 dispatcher received a call on Thursday, July 18, at 7:25 p.m. from a cab driver on Ames Hill Drive. 

The man said he just dropped off a passenger who does not have the money to pay the fare, and the person was threatening the cab driver.

A woman on Ames Hill Drive told police on Friday, July 19, at 10:15 a.m. that her office was broken into the previous night.

Then on Thursday, July 18, at 5:32 p.m. a homeowner on Geiger Drive reported that it appeared someone attempted to break into the home at some point during the day.

Additional Incidents:

On Thursday, July 18, at 2:23 a.m. an ambulance was sent to Eagle Drive to check on an elderly woman who became extremely hot overnight.

On Thursday, July 18, at 6:38 a.m. police served a warrant at Motel 6. Luiz Carlos Souza, 43, of 95 Main Street Apt 105, Tewksbury, was arrested on an outstanding warrant for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

On Friday, July 19, at 5:19 a.m. a water main break was called in on Crest Road. The Water Treatment Plant called and spoke to town personnel, who was aware of it and contacted the on call Department of Public Works employee.

On Friday, July 19, at 9:57 a.m. police received a call for an unwanted party at Automotive Services of New England related to a past assault from the previous night.

On Friday, July 19, at 1:39 p.m. a 911 call came in for a vehicle off the road on Pike Street. The responding officer requested a tow.

On Friday, July 19, at 2:39 p.m. a 911 caller on Main Street reported that there appeared to be a small mulch fire. Crews knocked down the flames.
