Stolen Scratch Tickets, a Pedestrian Hit, and Attempted Murder

The following information was supplied by the Tewksbury Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Fresh Express employee called police on Friday, July 12, at 6:18 p.m. to report a man who allegedly stole scratch tickets from behind the counter. 

The caller said the man distracted him then reached around the counter. The suspect fled the scene down Shawsheen Street.

A 911 caller at Extended Stay America reported on Friday, July 12, at 9:07 p.m. that a man and woman were involved in a verbal argument in the lobby. The individuals went up to the woman’s room. 

Keegan Cardin, 20, of 101 Hilldale Ave., South Hampton, N.H., was arrested and charged with attempted murder.

Additional Incidents:

On Friday, July 12, at 2:07 p.m. a woman came to the station to report that her mother is missing. The daughter said the last time anyone spoke to her was the day before at 11:30 a.m. by phone.

On Friday, July 12, at 8:59 p.m. detectives located a vehicle and arrested Andrew Stichter, 19, of 221 High Street, Lowell, on a warrant for being a fugitive from justice.

On Friday, July 12, at 9:07 p.m. multiple 911 callers reported a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian in from of Jade East. Medics were sent to the scene and transported one person to Lahey Clinic.

On Saturday, July 13, at 2:29 a.m. an alarm company called to report that their camera is showing a suspicious black vehicle parked at a business on Shawsheen Street. The man said he works for a cleaning company who has an account with the business, and the contact person at the business confirmed this. 

On Saturday, July 13, at 11:27 a.m. a woman on Main Street called to report a man laying on the side of the road.
