Tewksbury Couple Appears in Court, Accused of Hosting Underage Party

According to the Lowell Sun, Ann and Biagio Foti both pleased not guilty to one count apiece of furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 years old.

Accused of hosting a party last summer with more than close to 200 minors, a Tewksbury couple appeared in Lowell District Court on Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to charges under the social-host statute.

The Lowell Sun reported that Anne Foti, 53, and her husband Biagio Foti, 56, each face one count of furnishing alcohol to a person under 21 years old. They were released on personal recognizance and are next slated to appear in court on April 8.

The charges stem from a party last June when police say they found 150-200 people at the couple's Chandler Street home, many who were underage and intoxicated.

According to The Sun, police said Biagio Foti was allegedly intoxicated and told underaged drinkers they could hide in the basemen until police left the area.
