Tewksbury Driver Arrested in Chelmsford for Second OUI, Drug Possession

Chelmsford Police arrested a Tewksbury resident over the weekend for allegedly driving while impaired for a second time.

According to the Chelmsford police log, on Saturday, June 7, officers pulled over a driver for erratic operation.

Following the traffic stop, officers took Carlos A. Lourenco, 55, of 54 Windham Road, Tewksbury, into custody.

Lourenco was charged with second offense operating under the influence, failure to stay in marked lanes, and operating a motor vehicle recklessly to endanger.

In addition, Chelmsford Police also charged Lourenco with illegal possession of a Class B substance.
