Tewksbury Drug Awareness Week Set to Kick Off With Overdose Vigil

Tewksbury's Drug Awareness Week will kick off Sunday night with an Overdose Vigil at the Tewksbury State Hospital.

The following information is provided by Tewksbury Police Department:

On Sunday, Oct. 20, at 6:30 p.m., Transitions Program in collaboration with the Tewksbury Treatment Center, Tewksbury Police Department, Lowell House, and the Substance Use and Prevention Taskforce will host the 2nd Annual Overdose Vigil on the Tewksbury State Hospital Campus.

This vigil is to raise awareness in the community, remember those lost due to drug overdose, and to give hope to those still struggling with addiction. (and those who love them).

We encourage people to join us to try and help shed the stigma around fatal drug overdose and to remember that we have lost friends, family, wives, husbands, sons and daughters.
