Tewksbury Firefighter Charged With OUI, Failure to Stop

The Lowell Sun reported that the officer refused to pull over initially.

A Tewksbury Firefighter was arraigned in Lowell District Court on Monday on charges that he drove under the influence of alcohol and failed to stop for police.

The Lowell Sun reported that Marc Bourdon, 31, of 1126 Chandler Street, Tewksbury, was pulled over at 12:59 a.m. on Sunday morning on Butman Road after Bourdon allegedly refused to pull over and drove through a parking lot before eventually stopping.

Court documents allege that Bourdon's speech was slurred and he smelled of alcohol, The Sun reported. The Tewksbury firefighter insisted that he was OK to drive, but he refused to perform sobriety tests and a breathalyzer, according to the newspaper.
