Firefighters were on scene for about 20 minutes following the strike.

A late night Thursday storm's impact was felt in Tewksbury as lightning struck a home just off of Main Street.

Just before 11 p.m. as rains poured down, thunder rumbled and lightning lit up the sky, the Tewksbury Fire Department was called to 91 Secor Way for a report of a house struck by lightning.

Reports indicated that firefighters responded and found light smoke but no fire at the home.

As a result, crews were only on scene for about 20 minutes before turning the incident over to the Electrical Inspector.
