After admitting he was intoxicated and did not remember a January incident where he struck a police officer, a Tewksbury man was released from prison on time serves.
The Lowell Sun reported that Daniel White, 30, of 35 South Rhoda Street, pleaded guilty to charges of assault and battery on a police officer late last week and was sentenced to 94 days in jail, which was deemed served.
White was intoxicated when he was seen jumping out of a moving vehicle in January, according to The Sun. When officers arrived, they attempted to take White into custody, striking an officer who did not suffer serious injuries.
