A Tewksbury man was arrested Friday, Feb. 3, after allegedly assaulting another man at the DAV/American Legion hall on Pond Street, the night before.
Eugene L. Roux Jr., 53, 155 Helvetia St., was arrested just after 8:30 a.m. He has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
dispatch received a call from a woman Thursday night (Feb. 2), who alleged that her husband had just been assaulted at the DAV by another man. She also said the suspect had fled the scene.
Police filed a report on the incident.
The next morning, Roux was located in the vicinity of his residence and arrested.

The officer responded to the dealership and spoke to the security guard, who explained that it had been he who was looking in the cars. He said he wore a ski mask because it had gotten so cold.
Tewksbury man arrested in Sudbury
A call to the Monday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a Tewksbury man.
According to Sudbury Police Dispatcher Keith Robinson, officers were dispatched to the on Boston Post Road due to an unruly customer.
When officers arrived, Jason M. Sands, 24, of 55 Carnation Dr., was arrested and charged with defacing property and disorderly conduct.
Robinson said Sands attempted to break a glass door and succeeded in breaking a trash barrel.
Sands was released at 6:35 p.m. His arraignment was scheduled for Tuesday at Framingham District Court.
No other information was available.
On Feb. 3, just after a 7 a.m., a Foster Road resident said he found a pit bull/terrier mix wandering free in a parking lot. He said the animal had a Tewksbury license and a Wakefield vets tag. He informed police and said he was taking it home for the night. Animal control was notified.
Christopher Arthur, 27, 86 Inman, 2nd Floor, Lawrence, was arrested on Feb. 2, and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license (subsequent offense), marked lanes violation and speeding in violation of special regulations.
William A. Martell, 50, 1 Clinton St., Tewksbury, was arrested on Feb. 2, and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license (subsequent offense), marked lanes violation and speeding.
On Friday, Feb. 3, a breaking and entering was reported at a home on Chapman Road.
