Tewksbury Man Tased, Arrested After Claiming to be God

A Tewksbury man claims a friend slipped him something, prompting him to strip naked, hit himself and claim to be God early Sunday morning at a Billerica residence, according to a report from the Boston Globe.

When police arrived at a Billerica residence early Sunday, they found Patrick Taylor of Tewksbury naked, bleeding, covered in dirt and claiming to be God, according to the Globe.

Taylor resisted arrest, leading officers to use a stun gun on him five times before taking him into custody, according to Globe.

Taylor pleaded not guilty to charges of open and gross lewdness, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest on Tuesday in Lowell District Court, and was released on personal recognizance, according to the Globe.
