Tewksbury Police Arrest Man For Attempted Breaking and Entering

The following information is provided by the Tewksbury Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Tewksbury Police arrested a Billerica man on Thursday, Sept. 5 after receiving calls from residents of Oakland Avenue reporting someone breaking into houses on the street.

(Removed), 20, of 33 Devonshire Rd., Billerica, was arrested for
attempted breaking and entering, receiving stolen property over $250 and
possession of burglarious tools.

While officers were on their way to the scene, residents were able to give a description of the suspect's vehicle, leading police to stop the vehicle at East Street and Shawsheen Street.

Upon a search of the vehicle, (removed) was discovered to be in possession of several pieces of jewelry and a bolt cutter.

An investigation of houses in the Oakland Avenue area revealed (removed) had only attempted to break into a residence, and it remains unknown where the jewelry found in his car came from.

According to Tewksbury Police, (removed) was arrested in connection with a December 11, 2012 break-in where the victims were attending a funeral.

(Removed) is scheduled to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on Friday, September 06, 2013.
