Tewksbury Police Arrest Two on Trafficking Charges in Separate Drug Busts

The following information is provided by the Tewksbury Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.


Tewksbury Police announced a Lawrence man and Lynn man were arrested earlier this week on drug trafficking charges following separate incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, Tewksbury Police arrested Ramon Luis Atuna-Laboy, 36, of 107 Garden St. Apt.3, Lawrence for allegedly trafficking cocaine, distribution of cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone. 

Detectives made the arrest after conducting surveillance at Stadium Plaza located at 10 Main Street.  Atuna-Laboy was observed conducting a drug transaction in the parking lot prior to the arrest. 

A total of 32 grams of cocaine was seized along with 20 - 30 milligram oxycodone pills.   

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, in a separate incident, Tewksbury Police arrested Luis Antonio Herra, 22 of 39 Childs St. Apt. 3, Lynn for allegedly trafficking heroin.

Detectives made the arrest after conducting surveillance on Salem Road. Herra was observed conducting a transaction on Valley Road prior to his arrest.

A total of 24 grams of heroin was seized.

Both suspects have been arraigned at Lowell District Court.
