Tewksbury Resident Killed in Early Morning Canton Crash

Two Tewksbury residents were involved in the crash, which injured several people and killed one.

Massachusetts State Police announced that a Tewksbury resident was killed in an early Sunday morning crash in Canton.

At about 2:15 a.m. multiple callers reported a crash on Route 95 North in the area of Exit 11 in Canton. When police arrived they discovered a 2010 Nissan Versa SUV had rolled over with five people inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.

MedFlight was requested to the scene, but due to weather conditions it was unavailable. Instead, the patients were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.

Among the passengers were Michael Stokes, 45, of Tewksbury, Germaine C. Stokes, 45, of Tewksbury, Virginia E. Adamson, 52, of Dorchester, and Cytnthia M. Pendarvis, 62, of Canton. The driver of the vehicle was Sakeena L. Tarpley, 23, of Dorchester.

Four of the people in the vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries. Germaine Stokes, however, was declared deceased after being transported to Norwood Hospital.

Police said they are still investigating the crash and any charges will be brought at the conclusion of the investigation.
